PASS 305 Sprints

88 cars filled the pits at Hill Valley Speedway on a very wet and rainy Saturday, but that didn’t put a damper on things at all!  First up was the 305 Sprints and boy what a show they put on!!  The PASS Sprint feature saw 17 cars take the green, but with only one lap into it, the #59 of Alex Schanz took a wild flip down the front stretch.  The #26 of Ryann Lynn checked out-looked like he was going to win, but the #7W of Logan Wagner was reeling him in lap by lap and finally on lap 17 took the lead and held off for the win.  Following in 2nd place was the #26 of Ryan Lynn, the #44 of John Braim, the #23 of Nathan Gramely and rounding out the top five was the #33z of Joe Zap.  Heat race winners were the #2 of Erin Statler and the #26 of Ryan Lynn.READ MORE

Street Stocks

What can you say but wow what a Street Stock race!  Heat race winners were the #50 of Bill Henney and the #07 of Tim Krape.  It looked like the #07 of Tim Krape was going to take home all the cash winning the “dash for cash” and leading most of the feature with a lot of pressure from Bill Henney.  But a flat put Bill’s chances out the window.  Chris Edwards got a hold of the track with his #66 machine and drove around the leader on the inside and never looked back, taking the win over the #07 of Tim Krape.  Third place went to the #48 of Greg Moore, fourth to the #57 of Ken Singer and the #38 of Brian Duffy took the fifth spot.  Brian also got the hard charger award. .  READ MORE

Bernheisel Steel Block Late Models

After finishing as the runner up last week, it was just a matter of time until the #39 of Timmy Smith would be in victory circle-and this week was his week.  After winning his heat race, he went on to the feature as well.  The #77 of George Dixon, Jr. was a close 2nd , followed by the #44 of Ralph Morgan and the #87 of Eric Irvin.  The #21 of Dave Leidy was the winner of the 2nd heat race, finishing 5th in the feature.

Street Stocks

Looked like Chris Edwards was going to get his first win of the season, but he had to pull pit side which left a battle for lead between the #44 of Greg Moore and the #57 of Ken Singer (the 2 winners of the heat races).  With Moore taking the win, the 27F of Jared Fulkroad looked like he was going to steal the show, but ran out of time, finishing 3rd followed by the #50 of Bill Henney and the #110 of Dave Brown.  READ MORE

News Release - April 7, 2013

It was an awesome night at Hill Valley Speedway.  Pits were full and the stands were standing room only.  All classes put on a whale of a show for the fans.  2 and 3 wide racing all night long.  Late Models looked like it was going to be a Rick Singleton or Timmy Smith duet as they looked very dominant in the heats, but Rick drew a number six and the game was on.  That put Brad Kling on the pole and he didn't even look back, he was gone-see ya later.  Brian Lessley was charging up through the field but couldn't do anything with Kling.  In the Street Stock division Bill Henning had them covered.  Not too many guys can use the cushion like Bill can.  Boyd Brode was close enough but couldn't quite finish the job. The Hobby Stock division put on an awesome show, 2 wide a lot of the time with Rick Potter coming out on top.  Good job guys, it sure was exciting to watch.  The Mini Stock division was 3 wide racing all feature long with Chase Shaw winning by 3 car lengths.  This is an awesome to watch!  In the 4-cylinder division, Eric Boozel and Justin Williams fought back and forth for the lead until Justin got the advantage.  The Thunder cars had Jeremy Ott coming out on top.

We will be upgrading the sound system before this week's race.  We apologize for the inconvenience with the speakers on Saturday.  We are adding more bleachers around turns one and two per request from the fans.    READ MORE
