Thunder cars had six car turn out for feature event. Heat race winner went to the 47 of Tony Hampton car was piloted by Randy Burkholder for the night. 40X piloted by Brandon Seibert gains his first victory. Announcer asked when he got out of car. First win you shaking alittle? “ Yeah just a little bit first win after trying all year have to thank family and Dj Keefer for letting me use his back up car while mines down”. Other highlights included the 55 of Andrew Long suffering a left front tire flat and had to retire early into the feature. The 40 of Dj Keefer appeared to be a bit loose in the feature and spun but came back up through the field. Congrats on obtaining your first win Brandon Seibert.
Street stocks heat winners 48M Greg Moore, 22 Boyd Brode. Feature had the 57 of Ken Singer running in the front with numerous challenges by the 66 of Cris Edwards who was three wheeling around the track. Followed by another three wheeler the 22 of Ryan Sager who also had a few mishaps with spin outs. The 5 of Ronnie Garlock Spun and had some minor rear fender damage. As the laps ticked away in what appeared Singer was going to dominate the race looked like the front left tire on the 57 started towing inward on the top and Singer fell back. 48M of Moore was maken major moves to the front of the field. Battle insued between the race leader who after Singer fell back left the lead to 66 Cris Edwards they ran side by side and what I would call a crowd pleasing race down to the last couple laps in what appeared to be a win for Edwards Moore runs the inside groove and manages to get past Edwards and Greg Moore in his 48M goes on to win it. At the end Edwards pulls along side Moore and congradulates him and say's “ heck of a race buddy good job that was a great race” Congradulations on yet another victory at Hill Valley.
Mini Stocks had nineteen cars in the feature event. Heat race winners were the 10 of Jeremy Ott, 92 Frankie Gordon, 16 Gage Whitsel. The feature had the 10 of Jeremy Ott having a strong run in the front. Few caution laps came out for few cars having flat tires and one for a spin on the front stretch the 20 of Denny Cramer and 88 of Dan Smith. Jeremy Ott lead the race and started lapping the field with the 92 of Frankie Gordon trying to run him down. Jeremy Otts 10 machine adds another victory at Hill Valley.
Road runners the heat race winners 11s Charlie Stallman,1 Justin Anderson. The features had the 1 of Chris Anderson leading just going into turn two off the back stretch the 77L Heath Leonard hits the back stretch wall hard few other cars involved the 47 of Ellis Whitsel and the 21M this crash brought out the red flag to get the cars off the track. 1 of Chris Anderson was leading over 11s of Charlie Stallman. Nearing the last two laps the white flag waived in Andersons favor coming out of turn four Stallman makes the move along side Anderson and what looked as if they were going to tie in one of the closest races of the year winning but just the nose Stallman goes on to take the win over Anderson. Great racing and Congrats on the win.
Late Models heat race winners the 5Z of Brian Lessley and the 11 of Brad Kling. Feature had a good battle in the front. 39 of Tim Smith Jr. Lead the beging part of the race and was running pretty strong but the 5Z of Lessley was reeling him in along with the 11 of Kling. Coming out of turn four Kling,Smith Lessely was cose to going three wide. Smith dropped back to third. Kling had the lead coming out of the turn Lessely close behind him. Smith challenged Lesely shortly after to make a move for second but Lessely held him off. Kling was now the race leader lessley attempted the lead a few time but Kling held on and started to catch up to the back field of cars and lessley fell further behind. Brad Kling goes on to take the win.
Hobby Stocks heat race winners 1 of Rick Potter,73 Terry Norris, 73* Amber Mills. This line up of cars I think gets bigger every week. Great to see all the drivers in this event the feature had the 13 of Brad McGinnis down and out but 30 seconds to spare before the feature McGinnis came out on the track earlier he had transmission issues dropped it out and got another one throwed into it before the feature started but his bad luck didnt end there in the race he had a flat tire and had to pit for tire change. But managed to keep car up and running through out feature. The 1 of Rick Potter was off to early lead when the green flag waived the 21 of Austin Johnson was coming up behind to give Potter a run for his money but couldnt make it to pass Potter. Rick Potter gets behind some lap cars and makes quick work of them. Race had a few caution for flat tires etc. Under green again and Rick Potter continued to dominate the field Leading it flag to flag for the win at hill valley congradulations. During the interview car owner Bruce Altmen stated that Rick Potter was no longer going to race next year and it has been a great 2013 season having him as a driver. Rick Potter has decided to give it up to spend time with family etc.
